Has the new VW Golf improved against the older model and in what way. I traded an 2018 model Golf R Line -115BPH against a new 21Golf R Line -150BHP. Apart from the obvious increase in power I feel that the car is less robust and made from lesser quality materials. E.G the bonnet now has to be held up by an old style hook and the overall fell of the materials inside make it feel like a downgrade from what I Had. I would like your opinion please.
Hi Paddy,
There is certainly some evidence of cost-cutting going on in the newer model in comparison to the older one. Along with that, we really don't like the touchscreen infotainment system of the new model, though it is technically a step forward. The new car is more refined on the road, however, in terms of noise control and how it rides and handles. It is also, like-for-like, more efficient.
