We're big fans of the Captur in general, through its various generations. The 1.5 diesel is best-suited to those that travel longer distances regularly (as is any diesel) as otherwise you're risking components gumming up, such as the EGR valve or DPF in the exhaust. Saying that, the diesel engine really does make the Captur feel like a 'grown-up' car, so if it makes sense for you, then go for it. 

Make sure you test drive any car you're considering to ensure you like it.
