Do I pay VAT importing from Northern Ireland?
Hi, If I buy a car in NI which has been in use in NI(taxed etc) since before dec 2020 but is still a UK car and import it into the South of ireland will I pay VAT?

Hi Luke,
You should not have to pay VAT on importing that car, so long as you can prove its status. We would urge you to get confirmation on that from Revenue rather than acting purely on our advice.
