Do I need to pay back-tax?
My car hasnt been taxed for 2 years due to waiting on second hand engine will i have to pay the back dated tax or whats the story havent declared it off road as i didnt know

Hi Sharon,
I'm afraid you are liable for back-tax on a car if it has not been declared off the road prior to the tax expiring. Though it's worth nothing that, if the car changes hands, the tax arrears are no longer payable.
