Do I need to change my Mokka's chain?

Do I need to change my Mokka's chain?

I have a Vauxhall mokka diesel, it’s done 114000 miles and a mechanic has told me I need to change my cam chain, is this correct, it is a little rattley when started but that stops,

Our answer:

Hi Lisa,

If a mechanic says your chain needs to be changed then don't ignore it, as it could lead to catastrophic engine failure if it breaks or slips. If you for some reason don't trust the mechanic in question bring the car elsewhere for a second opinion.
