Do I need a belt and water pump?

Do I need a belt and water pump?

I have a 2015 17lt diesel with 63000 miles garage told me it needs a New belt and water pump is this true or is it a belt,

Our answer:

Hi Darren,

You've not given us a huge amount of information, but I believe you want to know if you have to change the timing belt and water pump or just the belt. It's common practice to replace the water pump at the same time as the belt as the dismantling required to get at the belt makes it easy to do so and it's a good thing to do even if there are no coolant system issues.
