Do I have to back-date my car's tax?
I bought a car in June 2021 but only going to put it on the road in February 2022 . Can I tax it from the 1st of February or does it have to be back tax

Hi Keith,
I'm afraid you're liable for the tax from when you bought the car, unless you declared the car off the road during that time. Unfortunately, you have to declare a car off the road ahead of time, not after.
