Do average speed cameras do both sides?
Hi if the average speed camera is on the opposite side of the road I am driving does it calculate the speed of the cars on both direction

Hi Bernadette,
They usually need to be pointing at the side the cars are on to work, and obviously need a paired set of cameras further down the road to calculate the average speeds. Saying that, there are loads of different systems, so it is possible there are also ones that cover both sides of the road.
