If depends on which dimension you mean. The overall height of the boot opening, or aperture, on the S-Max is significantly taller than that for a C-Max, but the loading lip (i.e: the distance from the ground to the bottom edge of the boot, the height to which you need to lift anything to get it in) is actually lower on the S-Max, slightly — 565mm compared to 585mm.
