There is no difference at all between them – save for the C 220 d is slightly newer. Mercedes changed all its badging in 2016 and dropped the old ‘CDI’ nomenclature in favour of a lower-case ‘d’. You shouldn’t be put off the older model if it’s the better car in terms of spec, colour, mileage, price and so on.
