If it's the 2.0-litre diesel, then yes, it's definitely the same.

If it's the 1.6, then I'm afraid it's not very straightforward. The 'U1' engine was used in this generation of i30 from 2007 until 2010, but the newer 'U2' engine was introduced in 2009, so there's an overlap where both engines were in production for the i30. The 2011 engine would certainly be the U2, but the 2009 unit could be either, so you'll need to check its engine code.
