I'm afraid we never try to estimate repair costs as every garage has a different labour rate and the parts can be obtained at different prices from different sources as well. Changing a timing chain is an expensive job, unfortunately.

Saying all that, our data suggests that the 1.8 Astra of that year should have a timing belt, not a chain.
