What would it cost to bring in Aston Martin vantage 2006value 33000 Stg
Hi Pat,
We can help you estimate the costs, but the VRT calculation relies on the value Revenue places on the car in Ireland (called the OMSP - Open Market Selling Price), which is not the same as the price you paid for the car and can be tricky to guess for low-volume cars such as this.
The easy ones first: you'll have the pay 10 per cent import duty on the car, plus 23 per cent VAT on the price paid for the car and shipping costs to Ireland.
The maximum NOx levy for petrol cars will be due, at €600.
It's safe to assume that the Vantage will be in the top VRT band due to its CO2 emissions, so that's 41 per cent of the OMSP. You'll have to take a guess at the OMSP, I'm afraid. If it's €50,000, the VRT due would be €20,500, for example.
