Cost to import a vintage from South Africa?
How much will i be charged importing a vintage car from South Africa? Is there a formula to calculate all the costs?

Hi Cole,
If the car is over 30 years old, VRT is fixed at €200, no matter where it is coming from. That's the easy part. And there is no NOx levy for vintage cars.
Now, if the car is deemed to be a collector's item, you can argue that it won't be subject to import duty or VAT. If not, then it's 10 per cent and 23 per cent, respectively.
