That will depend entirely on what oil you're buying, how much you're buying and where you're buying it. One word of advice though - don't skimp. Oil is complex stuff and the higher quality you buy the better it is for your engine. If you have a BMW engine that seems to be getting through a lot of oil, get it serviced as there may be a problem.
