Considering trading in Fiesta for new car.

Considering trading in Fiesta for new car.

Considering trading in 2011 Ford Fiesta petrol, 38k on clock, clean car, and main dealer looking for €10k to trade in against new Fiesta Zetec: 1 . Good offer or should I expect better trade in value ( new zetec €19k) 2. What alternative brands to Fiesta might I consider in terms of quality, kit, warranty and residual value at trade in. Thanks

Our answer:

Hi Tom,

I think you’ll be doing well to get €10k as a trade-in for your existing car. The normal level of trade-in for a Fiesta of that age would be closer to €6-8,000. As for other brands to consider, there are a lot of good cars in the supermini segment right now, so take a look at the Skoda Fabia, Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20, Citroen C3 and Toyota Yaris for starters.
