You've not told us what car it is, but we've had a lot of reports from users on a code 89 on an Opel/Vauxhall Mokka. It's basically a 'check engine' error and you should bring the car back to the garage it was serviced at to have it plugged into a diagnostic computer. That will tell them what exactly is wrong.
