Can we change the NCT loophole?
when your car does a nct test mileage is taken but on the following year the clock could be put back or changed the nct centre have no record of previous year mileage as a friend of mines found out from a old nct cert were clock mileage was lower than before.what can be done to stop this loop hole in the nct

Only a change in the way that the NCT is operated can change the way the mileage is recorded, and it would be nice to see a proper national mileage database whereby cars can be easily checked for clocking. In the absence of that, it just shows how important it is to get an independent history check on any second hand car you’re thinking of buying. We recommend Cartell.ie for that.
