There are some pretty strict rules about doing this and you can find them in detail here: http://www.nsai.ie/Our-Services-(1)/Certification/1--Automotive-files/M1-to-N1-conversions-Rev-02.aspx Basically it comes down to two things – the size of the load bay and keeping the load bay separate from the passenger compartment. The NSAI will be able to give you proper advice on that, but as ever we’d caution you that you can’t legally tax a crew-cab as a commercial if you’re planning to use it as a personal car too. Big fines await if you break the rules.
