Can I use HVO in my Tiguan?
VW Tiguan TD 2Ltr 2014. Can I use HVO ( hydrotreated vegetable oil ) as a diesel alternative. Thanks

Hi Derek,
Not officially, no. Volkswagen has approved use of HVO (and other more sustainable fuels) for us in its diesels from June 2021 on only.
Saying all that, HVO is designed to be a direct replacement for diesel and requires no modifications to the engine for use. It can even be mixed with diesel to any amount and used as normal.
