Can I tax a vehicle as a commercial?
I am a self employed sub contractor. I am looking to get a pick up truck or crew cab van. I will use it mainly for work, but I will need to use it to travel to and from work or to a hotel after work when away from home, I will probably have to use it on days off to go shopping etc. How do I stand regarding road tax? Ji need it to a commercial vehicle for effecient income tax.

I'm afraid the law is quite clear: if you're using the vehicle for any private use whatsoever, then it has to be taxed as a private vehicle.
