Can I tax a van?
I wish to buy a van (citreon Berlingo or similar). How much will it cost to tax it? Im a PAYE employee but do work on my farm at home, Can I tax it comercially?

Hi Damian,
If the van is to be used for anything other than business reasons then you need to inform your local motor tax office and privately tax it. It will then be taxed according to its engine size, as was the norm for cars before 2008. A 1.6 Berlingo, for example, would cost €514 per annum to tax privately.
