There's no legal reason you can't do that, though be aware that the tax is likely to be high as, when a vehicle registered as a commerical is changed to private use, its motor tax rate is determined by the old engine size system, not CO2 emissions.

We'd also recommend you look into the cost of the insurance before you buy the vehicle.
