It should physically fit in, though may require some modification of the mountings and radiator etc. Could be a bit tight and may cause issues with overheating. Beyond all that, we reckon your biggest challenge will be the electrics and control of the engine. I'd suggest seeking out professional help with this project, perhaps reaching out to the extensive Volkswagen tuning communities in the UK and Germany, before you spend any money on it.
