Can I continue to drive on my Indian licence?
hi I am an Indian in Ireland since January 2020 . Because of Covid I could not go back home to obtain an international license and I could not have an Irish License as there is no driving classes or dates available for exam .Will I be able to drive in Ireland for the next 12 months with Indian License. Thank you

Hi Binish,
It's not good news, I'm afraid. I contact the RSA about this issue and the answer was clear-cut, but no way to change it because of Covid etc:
"The rule by which certain foreign licences are recognised (those we don’t have an exchange arrangement with, eg US) is that a visitor can drive for one year on them. That is on foot of international agreements and not something Ireland can unilaterally change."
