Can I claim back motor tax?
I have taxed my new car for a year but there is a problem with car so garage are replacing the car . Am I entitled to claim back what I paid in tax

Hi Carol,
You should be able to fill out an RF111 form to change the details of your car as taxed, and get a replacement tax disc, but I’d check with your local motor tax office when doing so, just to make sure it’s the correct procedure in this case.
