It would be technically possible to replace your 1.6-litre engine with one of Skoda's larger units, but it's highly unadvisable. It's a huge amount of work in the first place, the suspension of the car may be different and you are very likely to have a headache with the ECU and electronics, not to mention paperwork in telling the authorities about the change.

We'd suggest it would be far simpler to sell your car and buy one with a larger engine.
