Can I avail of scrappage?
Hi, I'm hoping to get scrappage on a 2001 BMW. Does this mean I have to buy a 162 (now) or 171 in Jan? Or can I buy a relatively new car? I want something younger than 131. Also, do you know if Mazda do any deals like this? Thanks

Hi Ruth,
Generally speaking you can only get 'scrappage' against a new car. And incidentally, none of the current offers are actually scrappage, they're just trade-in bonuses that have kept the catchy name. If you're trading in against a second hand car, you probably won't get that, just the standard second hand value of your car.
