Can a Range Rover Sport be 'N1'?

hi there i have been looking at a land rover range rover sport 182 and it says it is 5 seater N1 HSE. is it legal to have N1 range rover sport. looking forward to your anser or veiw.

Our answer:

Hi Michael,

Apparently so, yes, but only in terms of annual taxation if the vehicle is used exclusively for business purposes. The rules changed back in 2018 to align the VRT paid on such vehicles with regular passenger cars, but it seems that they can still be registered as 'N1'.
