can a ford focus 2007 of over 200,000 mileage okay to buy?
Hi Symple,
The short answer is ‘yes’. But there are caveats to that. It needs a fully documented history, with evidence of rigorous upkeep (servicing, maintenance, any repair bills etc) during that time. It needs to be in very good condition for its age – it isn’t going to be ‘mint’ after 200,000 miles, but it shouldn’t be a bag of bolts, either – and you need to test-drive it to see how it runs. Even if you’ve got very little mechanical knowledge or experience of driving the second-generation Ford Focus, if there’s anything drastically wrong with the engine, brakes, gearbox or suspension, it will quickly become obvious through loud noises, noticeable shudders or rough performance to allow you to walk away and look for another car. Final point: for 200,000 miles, the Focus should be very cheap, compared to similar age, lower-mileage models.
