BMW X5 or Volvo XC90?
Which in your opinion would be a better buy - a 2015 Volvo xc90 or a 2015 BMW X5? Is one more reliable or have significantly lower overall running costs than the other?

Hi Rory,
There won’t be a huge variance in running costs, although the BMW would be slightly (only slightly) better in terms of fuel consumption. The Volvo will be slightly (again, only slightly) more reliable overall (but check that the centre clutch for the 4WD system hasn’t burned out). We’d go for the Volvo if practicality is what’s important to you, but the BMW if you crave a bit of driving fun.
