BMW 3 Series or Audi A3?
Hi I’m looking to buy a new car and I have the usual urban myths in my head(Don’t buy a BMW, Don’t buy a diesel, don’t buy anything over a 1.6) I am 35, insured on my own policy over 10 years and currently drive a 1.4 Ford Focus. I’m looking to upgrade and not end up getting hit with a massive hike in insurance, road tax, petrol costs etc. What would you recommend? I was looking at a 2010 BMW 3 SERIES 2.0 or an AUDI A3 1.4 Thanks Andrew

We’re not sure where the urban myth ‘don’t buy a BMW’ comes from, as they’re excellent cars (in the main), but in this instance, to meet your financial demands, the A3 1.4 TFSI is the better bet.
