If you’re talking used, that generous budget will get you nearly any SUV your heart desires. Keeping it to a three-year-old spectrum of used SUVs, everything from Volkswagen Touaregs to Peugeot 3008s to Hyundai Santa Fes are in your price bracket. If you need seven seats, the Santa Fe or the closely related Kia Sorento are well worth a look. If you don’t, the 3008 is a real stunner and well worth consideration. You can also get some used examples of the last-of-the-line Mk1 Volvo XC60s, which are still excellent vehicles to own – and very safe, too.
