The Nissan scrappage offer is indeed very good, at a maximum of €5,500, but it’s worth remembering that (a) you have to buy a top-spec model to avail of the maximum scrappage allowance, so you won’t get €5,500 unless you’re prepared to spend and (b) that scrappage offer does come with a 6.9 per cent interest rate on PCP repayments. It is a good offer, but well worth shopping around to see if you can get a better interest rate.
