Best reliable car for up to €14000. Our V40 diesel volvo just died after 13 years. Focus? Megane GTline?

Hi Barbara,
If you want reliable, buy Japanese or Korean. A Focus isn’t bad on the reliability front, and the Megane is far better now than it used to be, but for the ultimate in reliability think Toyota, Mazda or Honda. A sum of €14k would get you a really nice Mazda6 estate from around the 2012 mark, which sounds like it would be an ideal replacement for your old Volvo.
