Well, it does depend what you mean when you say ‘medium sized…’ I think a good starting point here would be the Skoda Octavia 1.2 TSI DSG auto. It’s big enough to be roomy, but compact enough to be easy to manoeuvre, and there are plenty around within your price range. Reliable and good to drive, too.
