There are some companies, such as Chill, QuoteDevil and First Ireland, which have specialist products for younger drivers, but the sad fact is that insurance is always going to be cripplingly expensive when you’re under 25. Have a shop around, and it might help to get friendly with a good local broker, who can sometimes unearth deals that others cannot.
