Generally speaking (and assuming that you don't actually need something specifically big), then I'd say you need a small, frugal car that's easy to park but also comfy enough to while away those long hours in traffic. A Volkswagen up! (and it's SEAT and Skoda cousins) is a good choice, as is a Hyundai i10. If you fancy something bigger than that then the new Citroen C3 is super-comfy, frugal and quite cool to look at.
