There's no specific make nor model that's especially good for motorway driving, and certainly not an engine size. Put it this way - a Skoda Octavia with a 1.2 TSI turbo petrol engine is as comfy and as good at knocking off motorway miles as a BMW 5 Series costing twice the price with a diesel engine.
