Belt or chain in my Mokka?
Have a 2015 1.6 tech line mokka does it have a timing belt or chain and when does it need replacing thank you

Hi Sue,
The 1.6 diesel engine uses a timing chain, which does not have any replacement schedule, as chains are theoretically designed for the life of the engine. However, if your car has the 1.6 petrol engine then it has a timing belt. It should be changed at least every 150,000km or six years, whichever comes first.
