Belt or chain in my Astra GTC?

Just bought a 2013 GTC, sri, turbo diesel, has it got a timing chain or belt?

Hi John,

Both the 1.7 and 2.0 CDTi diesel engines use timing belts. The newer 1.6 has a timing chain.
