Belt or chain in an i30?
Chain or belt for Hyundai i30? is Hyundai i30 2012 hatchback chain or belt driven? I can't get a definitive answer anywhere. It is a petrol engine, do I need to replace timing belt at 100000 km Thank you kindly

Hi Yupinporn,
The i30 changed generation in 2012. All the petrol engines in the later model use timing chains. Most in the older version do too. The only exception is the 2.0-litre unit (143hp). Its belt must be changed every 135,000km or six years, whichever comes first.
