SEAT Cordoba 1.2 petrol have a timing belt? How long engines will last?

Hi Simon,
You've not told us the model year. The latest Cordoba (2002-2009) uses a few 1.2-litre petrol engines and they all have timing chains. The tensioner can fail and the engine is known to have plenty of other niggling failures, but nothing untoward for a car of that age, in truth.
