According to the Central Statistics Office (CSO), the average annual mileage for a car with a 1.0-litre engine is 11,538km. However, that figure is from 2011 (the most recent figures that the CSO supplies), so may have increased since then, especially since 1.0-litre engines are now becoming more common in larger vehicles, which tend to do bigger mileages.
