average mileage for a 09 plate
Hi Sarah,
It depends on the car and, crucially, on the engine. According to the Central Statistics Office, the average mileage (in kilometres) of a petrol-engined car in Ireland is around 16,000km a year, while for diesels it’s more like 24,000km. So if it’s a petrol engined car, it should be in the ballpark of 144,000km and for a diesel it should be 216,000km.
