We’d have to say the Tiguan. It’s a little more expensive, but, when it comes to the refinement of the automatic transmission, the Volkswagen is streets ahead of the Hyundai. The Korean company has just fitted an eight-speed automatic to its facelifted Tucson, which vastly improves the refinement, but we’re guessing you’re talking about used cars so go for the Tiguan.
