Are the front shock absorbers of the Volvo V40 of a standard design and may be replaced by Toyota shock absorbers or some other commercially available ones?
Hi Voltaire,
I'm afraid not. Damper specifications vary massively, even between different versions of the same model - and they all look largely the same on the outside. There are plenty of options other than buying from a Volvo dealership, however. Any good local motor factors will be able to get the parts quickly, and there are online options, too, such as MicksGarage.
