Anything wrong with the latest Meriva?

I am looking at an Opel Meriva SE 2014 demo model and I love it... Trading in an 08 Zafira... My question is, why is the Meriva so uncommon on the road? The Tourer is massive and know I'm downsizing... But can't help wondering why there are so few on the road. We have two kids aged 10... Travel a wee bit to the west and Midlands but don't need to bring so much stuff. Would hope this car would take to their teenage years. Any advice?

Our answer:

Hi there,

Don't worry - there's nothing wrong with the Meriva, it's just that it tends to be a little more expensive, model for model, than most of its competition. It's actually a really nice car - comfy, spacious and decent to drive and those rear-hinged back doors make fitting child safety seats a doddle.

Just make sure you're getting the model with the new 1.6 CDTi diesel and not the old 1.7 - the new one is a far superior engine.

Our partners over at CompleteCar.ie have reviewed the latest Opel Meriva 1.6 CDTi if that's of any help
