Anything to look out for on diesel Focus?
Hi Shane I am buying a second hand ford focus estate 2008 to 2010 diesel. my budget is 6k. Is there anything I need to look out for? should I avoid the UK imports?

Hi Seamus,
No, don't avoid UK imports, but do avoid the old 1.8 TDCi engine as it was troublesome. The later 1.6 TDCi is much better, although it has weak areas in its oil and water pumps and it needs a steady diet of high quality oil to stay healthy. Other than that, the Focus is a solidly built thing, but make sure you buy with a full service history.
