Opels are not notoriously unreliable these days and there are no clear reports of that model of Insignia being problematic, either mechanically or electrically. However, your low daily mileage suggests to us that you might be better off with a petrol car – we normally say you need to do more than 20,000km a year for a diesel to make the best fiscal sense - or the majority of your driving on the motorway at speed.
